5 Ways to Enhance your Child's Brain Development

According to research published by the American Psychological Association, regarding the importance of matching instruction to a child's maturity level, it was mentioned that although the child's brain starts maturing even before his birth, the rate of maturing differs for each individual, which means that it is not necessary that every child of the same age will display the same kind of learning abilities, where the learning differences are related to temperature, genetics and environment as well, in the study. Talking of genes, study published in the journal, Nature Communications, concluded children’s math and reading ability is supported by their genes, where they can be equally good at both. This is because a child's ability to tackle one subject influences their aptitude for the other.

However, not everything can be left for the genes to decide, and it is important for teachers and parents to understand that the development of the brain can also be speeded up using certain learning strategies. Here are five such strategies.

5 Ways You Can Enhance your Child's Learning Abilities

  1. Make Learning Fun: This is not really a way but a thumb rule parents should follow to foster brain development in their child. It is an evident fact that the brain tries to resist things it finds stressful. Reading a book for long and cramming notes is highly stressful for most kids. It creates pressure on these young minds and can probably harm their memory for the long run.
  2. Making Connections Work: The brain is a crucial organ in the human body that seeks pattern. Most kids fail to understand a concept or chapter because they do not have prior knowledge about anything related to attach to it. Create connections using mnemonics, charts, listing similarities and differences, among other things, for your child to strengthen their learning.
  3. Divide Information into Pieces: Research shows that for our brain, it is much easier to learn small chunks of information than long strings of words. Even when you are giving multi-step directions to your child, give them instructions one at a time.
  4. Have a Cards Session Daily: This is one thing no child will resist because it is about playing and winning. Playing simple card games like Uno, Crazy Eights or Go Fish are not only enjoyable but a fun way to boost your child's memory as well. It is because playing cards will require your child to learn the rules of the game to win and know the cards they have to play, which will only boost their memory and aid brain development.
  5. Help Them Visualize: Visualizing as you read is an enjoyable and engaging activity, which significantly boosts a child's comprehension and retention power, as published by Edutopia. When narrating stories, take a pause and ask your kid to imagine the scene in their head. Make your child "see" the characters, setting and actions in the stories and describe them to you.
During this process, your child will require the right nutrition to aid their learning abilities and overall development. Other than providing them a balanced diet, give them a fortified milk powder like
Enfagrow A+ that has all the essential nutrients that will help the child’s cognitive development and overall physical growth and health.

My Child Gets Confused with the Alphabet and Numbers. Is this a Cause for Concern?

Alarm bells start ringing for a lot of parents who are used to tracking the milestones of development in their children and notice that their child is not good with numbers or is finding it difficult to recognize the ABCs at a certain age.

The ability to recognize letters and numbers is a milestone of early child development that might vary from child to child because of many factors. It is important to know that children start to show more interest in numbers, letters, reading and writing between the age of 5 to 8 years, according to the Early Childhood Development (ECD) milestones published by UNICEF. If your child is unable to recognize alphabets during this period, you must also consider some other milestones for children in this age bracket. Children between the ages of 5 and 8 will start recognizing shapes and colours, while exhibiting general curiosity about people and how the world works, start using words to express feelings and playing in a cooperative manner.

Widespread prevalence of learning disabilities in India, such as dyslexia, among children, is perhaps one of the most important reasons why parents worry when their child gets confused with letters and numbers. In fact, as many as 10%-15% children in India suffer from some sort of dyslexia, as per the Dyslexia Association of India.

Rely on Visual Aids and Storytelling

One good way of training your child in the alphabet and numbers is by way of using a visual medium, such as a colourful picture-based book. This will be a fun and interactive way that will encourage your child to identify various shapes, birds, animals, letters and numbers from the book. Reading is another best practice for early child development. Try narrating a short story and then pause to highlight the various elements of the story through letters and numbers. For example, you can point at a house from the story book that you are reading to your child and then emphasize on the fact that house starts with the letter 'H'.

A good, balanced diet, which includes the essential nutrients, also plays a key role in ensuring timely development in children. You must therefore introduce your child to a wholesome diet as soon as they are onto solid food. From the age of 2 years, which is when the most crucial brain development occurs, consider adding a fortified milk powder, such as Enfagrow A+, which includes a balanced proportion of various vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients, considered good for the development of critical brain functions.

It is never a good idea to unnecessarily worry over missed milestones of development Introducing good food habits right from the start and out of the box thinking can help bring back your child on the path of development.

Should you wait to have sex?

Or is now the right time? Read this article so that you can decide.

Sex is a matter of intense curiosity for those who haven’t had it yet. It serves to enhance the bond between two individuals. So are you mulling the idea of having first time sex with your partner, but are you also racked with doubt? Ask yourself these questions before you proceed –

Does the time feel right? Every serious relationship takes its own time to progress. If you and your partner have deep feelings of love for each other, then you will also share mutual feelings of respect. This means that either partner supports the other’s decision to wait before having first time sex. Or their decision to have it now. If you feel that you should take your relationship to the next level from merely cuddling and kissing, you can try it for sure.

Is there any pressure to do it? The thing to remember before having sex for the first time, is that you can have first time sex only once in your life – you cannot experience it ever again! Sure, you may have another partner in the future, but the first time is a lifelong memory. And so, you must make it as special as you can, without falling prey to peer pressure or insistence from your partner. If you are not ready for it, you should not go ahead with it because what would otherwise be an extraordinary experience would be marred by insecurity and feelings of guilt.

Are you aware of safe sex practices? Most people assume – based on what they read in erotic novels or see in films – that first time sex is a spontaneous, passionate encounter. That may well be true for some people, but a little planning will save you both from embarrassment and a nasty surprise later (such as an unwanted pregnancy or an STD). You may be sure of your health status, but what about your partner? Many people have first time sex after withholding their concerns about whether their partner carries an infection – they don’t want to offend or hurt the other person. Then there are those who want to be as ‘close’ to their partner during sex as possible, and they don’t want a condom to encumber them. But unprotected sex leaves both partners vulnerable to STDs, and the female partner open to an unplanned pregnancy. Be safe – insist on a condom, and don’t proceed if your partner is unwilling to use protection.

Have you discussed it with your partner? You or your partner might be shy to broach the subject, but it is better to discuss the possibility of having sex pretty soon. Be as frank as you want and invite your partner to share their concerns and questions, too. After all, if you are serious about the relationship, you can have a serious discussion on the subject!

Feelings a Woman Goes Through During Sex

Understanding a woman and her sexuality is not an easy task, where penetrative sex provides a sensation of fullness that somehow always seems to be "just right". This insertion stimulates the sensations, but not enough to make the woman experience extreme sexual pleasure. Unlike men, who can achieve an orgasm in almost every sex position, a woman needs more stimulation, specific positions and some help with arousal. Of course, what works will differ for every woman but there are some sensitive zones that work for everyone.

Men need to pay more attention during intercourse to understand how to better stimulate and satisfy their female partner. However, only a woman can tell you what they need to be satisfied, how and where to stimulate, at what depth and with what intensity. Males need to experiment more and more, trying different sex positions as well as various types of foreplay. Different positions help stimulate the woman in different ways, where after more experience, the male partner will understand what she like most of all.

Main Sensual Zones of the Vagina

Identifying and stimulating different erogenous zones may produce different reactions in the female body. There are primarily four different erogenous zones inside the vagina, which are:

  1. G Spot: Also, called the Gräfenberg spot, the G-Spot, is characterized as an erogenous area of the vagina, which when stimulated leads to strong sexual arousal, powerful orgasms and potential female ejaculation. This spot is located about 5-8 cm from the opening, on the front wall.
  2. A Spot: Following the front wall of the vagina, before the cervix is a woman’s A spot.
  3. O Spot: Once the G-spot is located, going towards the opposite wall, a spongy area a little deeper is a woman’s O-spot.
  4. The Cervix: The cervix is the lower part of the uterus in the female reproductive system. With deep penetration, the cervix can easily be touched with the penis. Before arousal, the cervix sits 3 to 4 inches in, but lifts up with engorgement.

Women Need Different Sex Positions

In a woman, the inner surface of the vagina has different sensibility. Stimulation of different sensitive zones facilitates different feelings in a woman. There is an interconnection between various sex positions and the feelings a woman receives during the act. Different areas in the vagina have different sensibility also in a way that both partners can experience different feelings, but more prominently the woman.

It should be understood that in every sex position, the penis penetrates at a different angle, as well as different depth. This stimulates the different sensitive zones of the vagina, with different intensity. However, these feelings might differ from woman to woman. Men, on the contrary, almost have the same stimulation, even in different positions. But the head of the penis impacts differently on different areas within the vagina.

When both the partners understand their physicality, while understanding the accurate location in the vagina for extreme pleasure, consciously stimulating them, different kinds of orgasm can be experienced by the woman. However, never compromise with safety for the sake of stimulation. This should not be a concern if you use a right product, which minimizes the barrier between the partners.

The best way to monetise your property

Have you explored Lease Rental Discounting to raise funds against your owned premises? Read on to know more about how it works, and how it benefits you.

Indians have traditionally gravitated towards three investment options to create wealth: gold, fixed deposits and real estate. Of these, real estate has become a rich man’s game in today’s times. Property prices continue to spiral out of the reach of most people, and those who own residential or commercial premises are extremely lucky to have such a valuable asset, indeed.

Property normally appreciates in value; thus it yields a profit when one liquidates it. Property also comes in handy when you need money in an emergency. Those who require a large amount of funds can either sell the property, or borrow a mortgage against it. However, there is a third option that is also being explored by a lot of property owners in India today – it is known as the Lease Rental Discounting (LRD) loan.

What is LRD loan?

It is a loan product that you can avail of if you have owned property that you have leased out. It helps you maximise the rent potential of the property such that you can borrow a loan against the rent you collect against the premises. Prominent banks and financial institutions in India calculate the lease rental discounting loan amount basis the rent potential of the property and its current market rate (in conjunction with the year’s ready reckoner rates).

This is how the LRD loan is computed: The lending institution assesses the property rate, the current registered lease agreement, market rate of the property and the locality, rent receipts for at least six months, share certificates for the property issued by the building society, financial profile (in case of a company borrowing the loan) and the owner’s credit history.

The lease must be in force for at least six months before the date of application for the loan. The loan amount is then calculated on the basis of the current rent being collected, plus the projected future rent receivables.

Advantages of Lease Rental Discounting

From granting the LRD loan only to commercial properties, these loans are today also approved for residential properties that have been leased out. Individuals as well as businesses can borrow this loan. The potential for getting a higher loan amount rises based on the rent potential of the property, and the demand for that property on a year-on-year basis.

The lease rental discounting loan helps individuals and companies raise money for a variety of requirements. The best LRD loans in India have tenures spanning up to 15 years, balance transfer option and doorstep services.
